Review-Xibalba-Self Titled LP

For those who have been slacking on checking out one of the heavier hardcore bands to come around in recent years, now is your chance: This self titled LP includes Xibalba's "Madre Mia Gracias Por Los Dias" album as well as the 4 tracks from their 3 way split with Ruckus and World Of Pain. Imagine Disembodied covering Obituary and you get a good idea of the crushing heavy hardcore these 12 tracks provide. The remastered Madre tracks sound better then ever, and the 4 tracks from the 3 way split (also remastered) contain my favorite Xibalba material thus far. Now that Disembodied has again called it quits and there is no hope for a new album from them, it's great to see newer bands carrying the torch for this sadly underplayed style of hardcore/metal.

Favourite Tracks:Time's Up, Spanish Harlem
